Ailey uses the Potty!

This may be graphic for some of you but this was pure joy for me this morning! We are getting one step closer to being potty trained. Way to go Ailey!
You may be wondering what this is. I too was inquisitive. Maddox came to show me his arm this morning asking "Mom, what is this?" I was about to reply something like, you probably put your arm in something sticky and didn't realize it and then dirt and maybe shirt lint got stuck to it. But before I could reply he said, "Do you think it's webs?" I said, "I don't know" and then he tried shooting webs from his wrist which didn't work. A long sigh from him and then he says, "maybe its just dirty." I thought he was past all hope of becoming a super hero but it looks like there is still a glimmer of hope left.
Isaiah and Maddox played basketball this year on the same team and they were so fun to watch! It's funny how much you learn about your child in competitive situations. So Maddox is Mr. defender! He stole so many balls they had to put in a rule you can't steal the ball and Isaiah was very good at handling the ball but wanted to make sure everyone got a turn so he would never shoot but passed to everyone so they would get a turn. After a few games of this Adam had a talk with him about shooting the ball if you are open and close to the basket. After that he was a shooting machine and took every opportunity to shoot that he could. Maddox would steal the ball and Isaiah would take it down and shoot it. What a team! I wonder how next year will go....

Thanks Shirley J.

O.K. so I have to blog about Shirley J. It is a great company that has some amazing products! I love their food and started using it thinking it would be great to have as food storage. Most of their products you just add water and your done. Their is brownie mixes, cookie mixes, biscuit and pancake mixes, bread mixes, cake mixes, and sauces and soups and spices.... anyway I could go on and on. I decided to take one of their challenges to cook thirty of their meals and try out all their products. As part of their incentive to keep cooking with their products if you took pictures of your dinners and posted them you would be entered into a $500.00 drawing each week. one entry for every meal you cooked that week. I already decided to cook the meals I had to cook for my family anyway and it would be a great way to try new recipes out. I started cooking and posting and the 4th week at it I got a call saying I won $500.00. I was extremely surprised! I never win anything but this was really easy and fun and I have to say I loved most of their recipes! here are a few things I cooked up.

My Brother Robb got married in October to the best girl! Auntie Michelle. They got married in Vegas and the weather was awesome. Everything was beautiful and since we left our kids in Washington and took a flight Adam and I had a great little vacation. (Thanks Tish and Irene!)

Grandmas Funeral

It's embarrassing that our last post was the birth of Afton well over 1 year ago. So much has happened since then and here a few things that come to mind. Adams Grandma passed away and a week after Christmas we got to travel to Utah for the funeral. The weather was the WORST! But the time we got to spend with family was invaluable. We were lucky enough to have all Adams siblings there and so much extended family! It was fun for me because I was able to finally put names and faces together. I also learned a lot about his grandma i didn't know. Here are a few pics from our trip. P.S. Isaiah was the only one of our kids that went. It was so much fun having just him and I know he enjoyed it too! Our other kids got spoiled with grandma and grandpa A.
